An investigation into the location of the Outénet region, which documentation places at the edge of the world, where the sun rises, not far from an "Eastern Ocean" (w3d-wr j3bty). This region adjoins another southern region: the land of Pount. If we accept, as certain documents suggest, that Punt is located on the south-eastern edge of the world (for an observer in Egypt), it is possible to reconstruct the geography of these distant regions in a coherent manner and, at the same time, to identify this Eastern Ocean, which can only be the Arabian Sea, i.e. the northern part of the Indian Ocean.
