In this contribution, the reader will find an overview of our updated understandings with regard to the Lycian town of Pinara. This city, little excavated and usually poorly known, was important since the 14th century B.C. until the beginning of our era. The Lycian inscriptions of Pinara are studied in detail in the end of the article, with a glossary to make the understanding easier.
