Recent archaeological discoveries in the land of Bia/Urartu

 = Paper =

by Roberto DAN, in Res Antiquae 18, 2021.

The purpose of this article is to present and discuss a series of recent archaeological discoveries made in the territory that was controlled by the state of Bia/Urartu between the second half of the 9th and the second half of the 7th century BC. These discoveries have occurred in various modern states, such as Turkey, Iran and the Autonomous Republic of Nakhichevan. The aim is to bring to the attention of the international scientific community a series of archaeological contexts which have mainly been published in local languages, and are therefore rather inaccessible.
